We endeavour to raise awareness of the implications of mental ill health within the workplace.
We endeavour to raise awareness of the implications of mental ill health within the workplace. The impact of what is often termed ‘workplace stress’ is well known and has been highlighted by, among others, the Health and Safety Executive.
As part of our role in enabling people experiencing mental ill health to secure and retain employment, we can offer targeted support. Sessions are designed around your needs and can be blended with existing employee development and support work.
Typically these are short discussion sessions with your managers and supervisors to look at how they can:
- Identify when an employee is showing signs of stress, or distress
- Consider the best ways of getting the employee to open up about their state of mind
- Work with HR and other services to achieve a positive outcome
Based on real examples and non-medical language the intention is to de-mystify and reduce concerns about working with the employee inappropriately.
