Employ-Ability is a specialist employment support charity working with people experiencing mental ill health.

Our purpose is to support people with mental ill health to secure and retain employment. We promote employment as it is both a normal aspiration and because it is a proven method of supporting recovery.

At Employ-Ability we also work with employers to ensure successful job matches and to provide any additional support they may feel is required. We provide our services across West Essex, South Essex, Southend and Thurrock

Our employment services follow two delivery models: Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF), a titles which emphasises the personalised nature of the approach. We also offer a Job Retention service as part of this, which supports people whose jobs are under threat as a result of their mental ill health.
